Located 21km Northwest of Great Barrier Island, fishing the desolate stacks around the Mokes is a spiritual experience, and is one of the places to target a trophy sized fish. Large snapper and kingfish are our regular target, however hapuka, tuna and marlin visit the area seasonally.
Fishing at Great Barrier Island is on virtually every anglers bucket list. It is truly a veritable trove of sea life, with snapper, kingfish, kahawai, hapuka and trevally regularly being caught. Option of stopping for lunch at Port Fitzroy.
Expert tuition to all levels of fishing ability is provided freely to ensure you maximize your chances of fresh snapper for dinner. We will return back to the dock between 3 and 4 pm
